BootShapes is anonymous by default. We do not require an account to compare boots, and we collect only anonymous, aggregate usage data to improve the tool.

BootShapes is built to be used anonymously. You can complete the fit guide, build a foot profile, compare boots, and read every recommendation without an account, a login, or giving us your name.

What we collect

  • We track anonymous, aggregated trends (like which boots get compared and which foot shapes are common) to understand what players need and improve the tool. This tells us about the crowd, never about you.
  • Your foot profile stays on your device. It only leaves your browser if you choose to email your results to yourself.
  • If you do email your results, we use your address only to send what you asked for.
  • You can separately opt in to hear when new boots suit your foot. That is an unticked box you have to choose — never bundled with your results. If you tick it we store your address and your foot shape (toe shape, width, volume, arch) so we only email you about boots worth your time. We do not store your measurements or shoe size for this, and you can unsubscribe from any email.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't track individuals, only trends. Your foot profile isn't tied to your identity unless you email it to yourself.
  • We don't use manipulative sign-up patterns.
